We assisted with the sale of business for 20% more than the buyer was willing to pay initially. The owner of a publishing house was interested in selling his business, but only at a reasonable price. The buyer suggested a price which was 20% below the eventual sale price. The owner of the publishing house ordered an estimate on the value of his business as a property complex in our company. We directed an investor’s attention to goods for sale; substantial financial investments in modern equipment, and a significant undervaluation of intangible assets of the publishing house (well-established business processes, developed network of distributors, team of qualified specialists, who were almost impossible to find on the labor market). Finally, we reached a compromise, and the business was sold at a price acceptable to both parties.
